Is there a time limit for conducting the funded research?
Research is expected to be completed and submitted for presentation/publication within 2 years of study start. It is expected the study starts within 6 months after the official award announcement. (top)

Can an exception be made for certain applicants regarding the eligibility criteria to the CML ASPIRE research grants?
The eligibility requirements have been carefully designed to attract appropriate candidates. In keeping with the purpose and intention of the ASPIRE grants and to be equitable between applicants, applicants must meet all the criteria in order to be considered for a grant. Submissions outside these parameters will not be considered. (top)

What project deliverables are required?
Projects are expected to yield results that will advance knowledge of the treatment of CML. It is expected that results will be presented at scientific meetings and published in peer reviewed journals within 2 years of study start. (top)

Are the CML ASPIRE research grants renewable?
No. Each CML ASPIRE research grant is a one-time, non-renewable research grant, to be paid in milestones based progress updates. (top)

Can CML ASPIRE research funding be used to purchase equipment?
No. CML ASPIRE research funds may not be used to purchase equipment, although the purchase of relevant laboratory supplies is allowed. (top)
