Any Invention made solely by one or more employee or contractor of Institution will be solely owned by Institution. Inventions related to Pfizer product will be subject to negotiation in regards to licensing rights. (top)

Can an exception be made for certain applicants regarding the eligibility criteria to the ASPIRE Cardiovascular research grants?
The eligibility requirements have been carefully designed to attract appropriate candidates. In keeping with the purpose and intention of the ASPIRE grants and to be equitable between applicants, applicants must meet all the criteria in order to be considered for a grant. Submissions outside these parameters will not be considered. (top)

Will non-drug research proposals be considered?
Yes. Both drug and non-drug proposals will be considered for funding, provided they do not include PCSK9 inhibitors or an investigational product, and do not compare a Pfizer product versus a competitor. (top)

What project deliverables are required?
Projects are expected to yield results that will advance knowledge of the PCSK9 protein/gene in health and disease. It is expected that results will be presented at scientific meetings and published in peer reviewed journals within 3 years of study start. (top)

Specific scientific questions of interest are those bringing new insights into and advancing the understanding of the role of the PCSK9 protein/gene in health and disease. Projects that offer novel mechanistic insights would be welcomed.
