Pfizer is pleased to announce the 2017 Regional ASPIRE competitive research grants programme in Endocrinology

As competition for research funding increases, the Advancing Science Through Pfizer-Investigator Research Exchange (ASPIRE) programme underscores Pfizer’s commitment to supporting exceptional investigators with an interest in advancing their academic research in Endocrinology.

Mission

To support translational and clinical research through a competitive grants programme that advances medical knowledge of the fundamental mechanisms of disease and action of current and potential future treatments, and to improve the care of patients with endocrine disorders.

To support academic and professional development of exceptional investigators with an interest in advancing knowledge in defined disease areas of endocrinology.

Areas of Focus

Pfizer invites interested investigators in Europe, Australia and New Zealand to apply for the 2017 regional ASPIRE competitive research grants programme in Endocrinology. Proposals that seek to explore translational or clinical research in the following areas of focus will be considered:

  • Detection and treatment of adult growth hormone (GH) deficiency
  • Earlier identification and improved management of short stature in children
  • Adherence to GH therapy for both adult and paediatric patients
  • Individualised GH treatment
  • Identification and management of uncontrolled acromegaly

Available Awards

Application is open to investigators in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Selection of research proposals will be performed by an independent, external expert panel comprised of established academic clinicians.

Project duration should be no more than 12 months.

There are a total of four, €50,000 awards available
